Center Story Villagers in Vellamadai were initially skeptical when the local church opened an It’s a Girl center as they believed it was a trick to convert people. However, the services were desperately needed by struggling families and eventually, a few of them took their baby girls there. As time passed, the community realized the church was willing to care for unwanted baby girls even if their parents did not convert. The center held a Christmas celebration, and many families were exposed to Jesus for the first time! Jeevitha, whose daughter attends the center daily, requested a New Testament and she continues to bring many questions to Pastor Christopher. The center has inspired a strong sense of community and many of the mothers work together to raise their babies. As the church gains a positive reputation, doors continue to open!
