My story My parents were divorced and remarried. Both my parents wanted to live with their new families, so my older brother and I were tossed around between shelters, orphanages, and people’s homes before ended up here at the Akha Light Foundation. Some of the families we stayed with were Muslim families and they forced us to study all the time and to things that I do not want to do. Even though I’ve only been here for a short time, I am excited to live here. I can see my brother is very happy here, so I am happy also. Hopefully we won’t be moved again.
