Woodside has been supporting our Global Partners, Mano and Sheila, in India since 2001. India’s society favors boys, which causes some families to neglect girls. Many of the pastors in Mano’s organization saw their churches as a safe haven for these at-risk girls. God led Mano and Sheila to establish “It’s a Girl” in 2016. The ministry has 11 centers across Southern India supporting around 150 girls aged 0-3. Your sponsorship of one of these centers allows the local church to provide these girls with food, medical care, toiletries, and access to the Gospel, while allowing them to remain in their homes. This unique ministry keeps girls connected to their families while meeting their physical and spiritual needs. Demonstrating Gods love to these girls is transforming communities to view girls as blessings, rather than burdens.
